AMSGNY Meetings


250 Years of American Music--CUNY Graduate Center, Sept. 26th, 2026

 

Happy 250th birthday to the USA, and we will take this opportunity to celebrate the many types of music that have been written, performed, and listened to over the years.   

It will take place at the CUNY Graduate Center on Saturday, September 26th.  It will start at 1 PM.  The Graduate Center is located at 365 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10016 and is easily accessible to public transportation.  Please check in with the security guard at the entrance.  

The program has been assembled by John Graziano and Music at Gotham.  Each of the specialists will speak about their period expertise, and then we will throw open the floor to discussion.  The program is below.
