Fall 2012 Meeting Set

The Fall 2012 meeting will take place at Hofstra University on Long Island on Saturday, October 13th. They have offered us the use of room 10 in the New Academic Building, which is the space used for large ensemble rehearsals, so there will be plenty of room. Hofstra is easily accessible by car and public transportation. The Long Island Railroad stops just two miles away, and the college has a free shuttle bus that meets each train.
Proposals on any topic of musicological interest are now being accepted. Please e mail a 250-300 word proposal to both jonathan.waxman@gmail.com and DrJSDailey@aol.com, putting "AMSGNY October 2012" in the subject line. The deadline is September 1st.
Part of the meeting will also include a panel discussion entitled "The Future of Musicology." If you are interested in being a panelist, please send an e mail to DrJSDailey@aol.com by September 1st.
